Right plant, right place
Every plant on our plans is chosen for its exact sun, salt and soil, so it lives without constant rescue.

Founded by horticulturist Teo Alvarado and stonemason Bea Lindqvist, who met restoring coral rock walls in the Grove.
Teo grew up working his grandfather’s nursery in Homestead. Bea learned dry-stone walling in Sweden before moving to Miami and falling for oolite, the porous coral rock under most of the Grove.
They started Mangrove & Stone to build gardens that belong here: native plants that shrug off August, stone that ages well, and irrigation that doesn’t water during a thunderstorm.
We’re now 26 people with four maintenance crews, two install crews and a certified arborist.

Every plant on our plans is chosen for its exact sun, salt and soil, so it lives without constant rescue.
Our gardens use about 40% less irrigation than the lawns they replace.
Your maintenance crew is the same three people every week.
“After Hurricane prep trimming, we lost zero fronds in the September storm. Neighbors lost two palms.”
“The 3D design showed exactly what we’d get. The finished patio matches it plant for plant.”
“Smart irrigation install cut our water bill by a third and the lawn looks better.”
